When to Book Aesthetic Treatments Before Christmas 2026 in London

In short: For a party around Saturday 12 December 2026, treatments given as a course or that work gradually, such as REJURAN® polynucleotides (around three sessions, approximately four weeks apart) or Sculptra®, are worth starting in October. My Timeless advises booking anti-wrinkle injections at least four weeks before an event, so by 14 November, and lip filler is better booked at least a week ahead, as bruising usually settles within three to seven days. At My Timeless in the City of London, timing for each treatment is agreed at consultation.

Christmas Day 2026 is a Friday, and party season mostly runs through early-to-mid December. This guide counts back from Saturday 12 December 2026 and groups treatments by lead time, using the timings My Timeless publishes. For courses, the dates assume your final session falls at least a week before the event: a planning margin, not a clinical rule, and your clinician may advise longer. For Christmas Day itself, add 13 days.

Start in October: courses and collagen stimulators

Polynucleotides. For REJURAN® Healer, which contains purified DNA fragments derived from salmon, My Timeless says an initial course of around three sessions, approximately four weeks apart, may be recommended. Finishing by 5 December means starting by about 10 October. Tell your clinician about any allergies, including fish allergy. For Plinest, no session plan is published; My Timeless notes that polynucleotides give no immediate visible change, that reported improvements were measured over weeks to months, and that the number of sessions is set at your assessment.

Skin boosters given as a course. For Teoxane babyGLOW™, an initial course of two or three sessions, spaced several weeks apart, may be recommended, and for Sunekos Eye & Neck a course of treatments may be recommended. Neither has a published interval, so agree a schedule in October. Our skin boosters comparison covers each option.

Collagen stimulators. Sculptra® results develop gradually over the weeks and months after treatment, and a course of approximately three sessions over several months is commonly recommended. Any initial fullness from the injection fluid and swelling is temporary and is not the developing result. My Timeless lists swelling, bruising, tenderness or lumps as possible, without a timeframe, so ask how close to an event a session should be. JULÄINE™ results also develop gradually; for Radiesse®, HArmonyCa® and ELLANSÉ, no timeline is published. Our guide to collagen stimulators compares all five.

Book by early-to-mid November: anti-wrinkle injections, Profhilo and SKINVIVE™

Anti-wrinkle injections. These temporarily relax overactive facial muscles to soften the appearance of fine lines. My Timeless describes movement beginning to reduce on days 4 to 7, and a review at days 10 to 14 lets your clinician assess the result and plan any future treatment in line with the product's minimum interval. UK product leaflets put the maximum effect at about one month to six weeks, depending on the product, and require at least three months (12 weeks) between treatments. Our guide to how long anti-wrinkle injections last advises booking at least four weeks before an event, to leave time for the result to settle and for a review: by 14 November for a 12 December event. Mild bruising, a headache and slight asymmetry in the first fortnight are common and usually self-limiting.

Profhilo. Our Profhilo vs polynucleotides guide describes the usual protocol as two sessions, four weeks apart, with small bumps at the injection points for a few hours and possibly minor bruising. A second session by 5 December means a first by about 7 November.

SKINVIVE™. SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® can provide benefits after one initial treatment, although a touch-up may be recommended after review. Improvements are generally assessed within the first month, and reactions such as redness, swelling or bruising typically settle within a week, although some may last longer. Booking by about 12 November allows that month; earlier leaves room for a touch-up.

The final weeks: lip filler, and what to avoid

Lip filler. Our lip filler guide says to expect swelling for 24 to 48 hours, which can look more dramatic than the final result. Bruising is possible and usually settles within three to seven days, and minor lumpiness in the first week is common. That makes 5 December the latest sensible date for lip enhancement, and earlier gives more margin. Building gradually across two appointments a few weeks apart usually gives a more natural result than placing a large volume in one session; if that is your plan, start earlier.

What to avoid close to the date:

  • Anti-wrinkle injections for the first time in the week before a major event, which My Timeless advises against.
  • Lip filler on the day of a party: aftercare is no strenuous exercise, saunas or alcohol for 24 hours.
  • Anti-wrinkle injections on the day of a celebration: stay upright for about four hours, avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and steam rooms for 24 hours, and avoid alcohol that evening if you bruise easily.
  • Expecting a last-minute session to show its result: SKINVIVE™ is assessed within the first month, and polynucleotides and collagen stimulators work gradually.

Treatments with no published timeline

For dermal filler outside the lips and for tear trough rejuvenation, which uses Teosyal® Redensity II, a hyaluronic acid filler designed for the under-eye area, My Timeless does not publish how long settling takes, so agree the date at consultation. If you are considering anti-wrinkle injections and filler together, a combination is usually staged over more than one appointment so each element can be assessed, which is a reason to start the conversation in October.

All of these are injectable treatments with risks: My Timeless lists rare but serious complications involving blood vessels for SKINVIVE™ and babyGLOW™, and blood-vessel blockage for Sculptra®. Risks and alternatives are explained at consultation.

Questions to ask at your consultation

Build the consultation itself into your timeline: for polynucleotides, for example, the first appointment is a consultation and you are given time afterwards to decide.

  • How long before my event should my final session be, and why?
  • When would a review or top-up happen, and does it fit before the event?
  • Which reactions are likely for me, how long might they last, and what aftercare applies?
  • How many sessions are planned, at what interval, and at what total cost?
  • What are the risks and the alternatives, including no treatment?

Frequently asked questions

How long before an event should I have anti-wrinkle injections?

My Timeless advises at least four weeks, so by 14 November for a 12 December 2026 event. That leaves time for a review at about two weeks, when your clinician can assess the result and plan any future treatment in line with the product's minimum interval: UK product leaflets require at least three months (12 weeks) between treatments and put the maximum effect at about one month to six weeks, depending on the product. The clinic advises against having anti-wrinkle injections for the first time in the week before a major event.

How long does lip filler swelling last?

My Timeless says to expect swelling for 24 to 48 hours. Bruising is possible and usually settles within three to seven days, and minor lumpiness in the first week is common, so book at least a week before an event: by 5 December for a 12 December party.

Is it too late to start skin boosters before Christmas 2026?

It depends on the treatment. Counting back from a 12 December event, REJURAN® Healer (around three sessions, approximately four weeks apart) would start by about 10 October, Profhilo (usually two sessions, four weeks apart) by about 7 November, and SKINVIVE™, generally assessed within the first month, by about 12 November.

Will Sculptra® work in time for Christmas?

Sculptra® results develop gradually over the weeks and months after treatment, and a course of approximately three sessions over several months is commonly recommended, so a course started in October would be likely to continue into 2027. As of October 2026, Sculptra® is £400 for one session or £1,050 for three.

What if my event is on Christmas Day?

Add 13 days to each date in this guide. Anti-wrinkle injections at least four weeks before 25 December 2026 means by 27 November, and lip filler at least a week before means by 18 December.
